Speedometer One User Guide

Show your speed on the Lock Screen

With Speedometer One Pro, a Live Activity keeps your speed and max on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you don’t need to open the app.

Start the Live Activity

  1. Wait until Speedometer One shows your speed.
  2. Tap the Settings button.
  3. Tap Start on Lock Screen.

Your speed and max appear on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

Stop the Live Activity

Do any of the following:

It also ends on its own after you’ve been stopped for a while. When it ends, the Lock Screen shows Ride ended.

Start it automatically

In Settings, turn on Start Automatically. The Live Activity then starts when you leave Speedometer One while you’re moving. The speed it needs is shown below the setting.

Note: If Start on Lock Screen isn’t available, Speedometer One may still be waiting for a GPS fix, or Live Activities may be turned off for Speedometer One in the Settings app.

Note: While the Live Activity is running, Speedometer One uses your location in the background, and iOS shows that location is in use. If the GPS signal is lost, the Lock Screen dims your last speed and shows how long ago the last fix was, then shows --.
