Speedometer One User Guide

Privacy and your data

Speedometer One has no accounts, ads or tracking. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

Location

Speedometer One uses your location to work out your speed on your iPhone. It asks for access only while you’re using the app; it also uses location in the background while its Lock Screen Live Activity is running.

What stays on your iPhone

Your settings, units and max speed are saved on your iPhone. Your location history isn’t saved.

Map and place names

The map background uses map data built into the app, so the map makes no network requests. With the map on and an internet connection, Speedometer One asks Apple’s location services for the name of the nearest town or city, to show “near Portland” in the heading line. Only the current place name is kept.

Note: For details, read the Speedometer One Privacy Policy.
